Amazulu vs Royal AM Prediction: We expect goals at both ends in this evenly contested matchup

On Friday, Amazulu FC will face off against Royal AM at the King Zwelithini Stadium. The hosts will be keen to maintain their four league meetings undefeated run against Royal AM on their home turf.

The hosts failed to maintain their momentum as they suffered a (1-0) loss against TS Galaxy on the road. Amazulu were below par in a game where they dominated and had five shots at goal compared to their opponents (2). Amazulu FC were stunned in the 75th minute and were lucky to have conceded just a goal. 

Before their recent defeat, Amazulu had won back-to-back games against Chippa United and Richards Bay.

Royal AM, who conceded twice in the first thirteen minutes against their opponent, found the back of the net in a (2-2) share of the spoils after the break. This was after their (2-3) loss on their ground against Golden Arrows and (0-1) defeat to Polokwane City. 

The visiting team, who escaped relegation last season by just a point, have failed to make any signings for the second year running. Royal AM, who still owes Samir Nurkovic R12 million, have been banned by FIFA and will continue with the same players as last season.

Royal AM have picked up eight points from a possible twenty-seven, scoring eighth and conceding nine this season. They have also drawn four and lost once away from home this season. 

Expert Betting Tips

Over their previous twenty meetings, Amazulu have won six while Royal AM have won six and nine games ending in a tie. Both teams have been inconsistent since the league began, and it will be hard to determine who secures all the points. Royal AM are fighting every now and then with the limited resources they have and still managed to secure a point against Kaizer Chiefs, while Amazulu failed to convert their chances in a recent game. 

The hosts are actually the favorite in this fixture, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to do it without conceding. I’m backing both teams to get a goal, at least here for 2.14.

I also think the hosts might score before the break for 2.30.
