Atletico started well in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League with a 2:1 home win over Porto. First, the Indians lost to Bayer and then to Brugge, both of which were away matches. On eight October, Brugge lost their home away to Westerlo after beating Atletico Madrid. Brugge made a solid start to the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League, winning three times in three games with a score of 7:0. In general, Brugge can already be called the opener in the group stage of the tournament, and there's little doubt that they will be missing out on the playoffs this season.
