Young Africans vs Simba SC Prediction: This Derby will end in favour of the home team

Both teams will kick off the new season with a competitive match at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Thursday. This competition will feature the top four teams from last season, and we expect nothing but an entertaining game here. Young Africans, who won the league by fine margins, will face off against Simba SC, who ended their campaign in third place.

Miguel Gamando's men were phenomenal last season as they successfully defended the Tanzania Ligi Kuu Bara title. The Argentine, who lost four games in his entire season, secured the title on Azam’s watch. The Yanga Boys made some fantastic decisions by keeping their key players as well as bolstering the squad. This will pay off again as the synergy amongst the players is expected to be out of the roof. Young Africans have won once and lost a game in their preseason fixtures, and this is their first-ever competitive match this season. 

Simba SC

The guests finished below the top two for the first time in eight years. It was a terrible campaign for Simba SC, who lost three games out of thirty. Unfortunately, they will not play in the CAF Champions League this season and will have to settle for the CAF Confederation Cup. 

The management are making a total adjustment to the team, and it will take time for them to recover fully. Simba SC have let go of most of their star men but they have recruited excellently.  

Expert Betting Tips

Over their previous nineteen meetings, Young Africans have won seven while Simba SC have recorded four victories and eight games ending in a share of the spoils. Their last two meetings have ended in a win for Young Africans. Both teams play similarly, and it will be hard to tell which team will advance here. However, our decision will be based on the fact that Young Lions have bolstered their squad and as well kept their star players. They’ll definitely be at the top of their game and get the better of Simba SC team, who have some new faces in their squad.
