Madison Keys comes into this game after playing a thriller against Camila Giorgi with a scoreline of 6-4, 5-7, 7-6, in a tiebreaker that was decided 10-6. Madison had a riveting first serve of 83% and was helped by 10 double faults committed by Giorgi. Keys faced Darya Yastrameska in the first round which also involved a tiebreaker, which she won 7-3. After a tough couple of games, Keys has run into yet another tricky affair.

Keys barged into the top-ten rankings this year and this has been a highly productive year for her. Forget the rankings, Madison has been a huge factor for many years now. She once made it to the Final of the US Open in 2017 and earlier this year, she made the Semi-Final of the Australian Open and the fourth round of the French Open. All in all, a 70% win record in Grand Slam is highly impressive, but yes a title to the name would surely increase her credentials.

Coco Gauff

Coco comes into the game after beating Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-2, 7-6 in a tiebreaker that she won 7-4. In that game, Gauff hit 8 Aces but her first serve% of 59 was rather not so impressive. Gauff’s win% on the first serve was impressive though with 91 and the second serve% of 85 implies her incredible focus and power reserves. In the first game, Gauff defeated Leolia Jeanjean 6-2, 6-3, and also nailed 8 Aces.

Gauff keeps on adding new milestones to her already impressive career. She reached the Final of the 2022 French Open where she lost to Iga Swiatek. On clay, she was impressive but her game is tailor-made for the hard surface. Her accomplishments at just the age of 18 do make one draw comparisons to Serena Williams, especially considering the athletic nature of both players.

This is a tough draw for both players. Madison is better at serves than Gauff but both players are well-adept at hitting Aces, with Keys having just a slight edge. When Cori gets her serve going, she also inserts a lot of power behind it. There is no doubt that both players are aggressive but there is one other area where Keys is better than her compatriot; groundstrokes. But the athletic nature and never-ending Gauff can inspire to take this one, but I am not sure about this one. This can go to three sets.
