Mustafizur Rahman (3-11) and Rishad Hossain (3-21) led a ruthless Bangladesh attack that dismissed Ireland for just 117 in 19.5 overs in the series decider at Chattogram. Mustafizur struck early with trademark cutters, before Rishad ripped through the middle order as Ireland slipped from 50 for 1 to 73 for 5, never recovering.

Paul Stirling (38) fought hard, but only three other Irish batters reached double figures as the visitors’ innings faltered under sustained pressure.
Litton Das Praises Bowlers’ Discipline
Bangladesh skipper Litton Das lauded the clarity and execution shown by his bowlers.
All the bowlers did a really great job, especially in the middle overs. We did not get wickets in the Powerplay, but the way Rishad and Mahedi came back was amazing. I told the batsmen to play their normal game. You can’t afford complacency with small totals.
Tanzid Hasan Stars In The Field And With The Bat
Tanzid Hasan produced a standout all-round performance, becoming the first outfielder from a full-member nation to take five catches in a T20I. Four came at long-on and one at gully, all during Ireland’s collapse.
He then dominated the chase with an unbeaten 55 off 35 balls, combining fluency with precision. Parvez Hossain Emon (33* off 26) joined him in a 73-run unbroken stand as Bangladesh cruised to 119/2 in only 13.4 overs.
Ireland Fade After Bright Start
Ireland captain Paul Stirling admitted his side failed to sustain momentum.
We just ran out of steam today. That crucial period between overs six and twelve cost us. We weren’t quite at our best and didn’t get enough runs. A score of 140–150 would have been competitive.
Bangladesh Seal Fifth T20i Series Of The Year
With this eight-wicket victory, Bangladesh wrapped up their fifth T20I series win of 2025, responding strongly after losing the opening match and finishing the series with assertive all-round cricket.
Brief Scores: Ireland 117 all out in 19.5 overs (Paul Stirling 38; Mustafizur Rahman 3-11, Rishad Hossain 3-21, Shoriful Islam 2-21) lost to Bangladesh 119/2 in 13.4 overs (Tanzid Hasan 55 not out, Parvez Hossain Emon 33 not out; Craig Young 1-30) by eight wickets.
