The 27-year-old is tying the knot with Amna Rahim in Karachi on Tuesday. The wedding will be held in traditional Pathan style, with both families sharing a long-standing bond.

Celebrations Begin With Mehndi

The festivities began on Thursday with the Mehndi ceremony, attended by Abrar’s close cricketing friends. The colourful evening marked the start of what promises to be a memorable wedding week for the spinner.

A Star Performer on the Field

Abrar was one of Pakistan’s standout performers in the recent Asia Cup. He claimed six wickets in seven matches at an average of 23.83, with a remarkable economy rate of 5.36—the best in the tournament.

Balancing Wedding Bells and Cricket Duty

The celebrations won’t keep Abrar away from his cricketing commitments for long. Soon after the Valima reception, he will join the Pakistan squad for the first Test against South Africa in Lahore, starting October 12.

Guests from the Cricketing Fraternity

The wedding is expected to bring together a host of stars from Pakistan’s cricketing circles. Among the invitees are T20I skipper Salman Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, and Naseem Shah.
Adding further significance, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also expected to attend the Valima.
