The Hawks were disappointing last season in the final against Leicestershire Foxes, losing by 2 runs. Nick Gubbins and his men look to leave that behind them as they open their new campaign with a home game. With a youthful and dynamic squad, they are keen on top displays from every player on board. The team will depend on a good start from Nick Gubbins and Fletcha Middleton, who did well in the last season. Tom Prest, their main batsman, will be crucial in anchoring the middle order with Joe Weatherley and Ben Brown. Liam Dawson and James Fuller will take the responsibility of raising the run rate at the lower middle order. The new ball will be handed to Keith Barker and Scott Currie, who will have the onerous task of containing an opponent batting lineup that is packed with runs. Liam Dawson and James Fuller will look to hold things tight in the middle overs as Tom Prest and Josh Turner add variety to the bowling attack.

Lewis McManus will be disappointed with the previous game outcome as they lost by 2 wickets to the Derbyshire Falcons. Having had them in a strong position at 79 for 7, the Steelbacks allowed a match-turning 131-run partnership for the 8th wicket. This defeat will need to get out of the system, and the team will want to bounce back in the rest of the tournament. Emilio Gay looked good in the last game, so an attacking start is important from him and Prithvi Shaw. Ricardo Vasconcelos and Rob Keogh need to stitch partnerships together with George Bartlett, who will be heading into the middle overs. Saif Zaib, Gus Miller, and Lewis McManus will be required at the other end to provide quick runs. With the new ball, it will be left to the bowlers, especially Ben Sanderson and Jack White. Raphael Weatherall and Gus Miller would want to peg back the run-rate during the middle overs with able support from Rob Keogh, Saif Zaib, and Bartlett.

The Northamptonshire Steelbacks have had a disappointing start to the season, with them recently losing from a very good position. For them to change their fortunes, they will have to bowl better and bat better in the middle order. Whereas the Hampshire Hawks possess a strong batting lineup with good depth and an equally deep bowling attack, home advantage gives the edge for the win to the former.
