Hasan scored 42 off 29 with the bat and picked 3 wickets for 28 runs. Mustafizur Rahman picked 4 wickets for 36 runs. Mohammad Naim top scored with the bat, scoring 64 runs while opening the batting. Bangladesh are currently 3rd in the points table and they will have to win this match in order to finish in top 2 and qualify for the Super 12 stage.

Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea are currently at the bottom of Group B and they are practically out of the T20 world cup. PNG will play for their pride in this match and they would want to finish their campaign on a high. In their first match, they lost against Oman by 10 wickets. In their second match, Scotland beat them by 17 runs. They were able to manage 148 while chasing a target of 166. Kabua Morea and Chad Soper picked 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Norman Vanua was the top scorer with 47 runs. PNG have had good individual performances but have lacked a collective team effort which explains why they have not managed to win thus far. If they beat Bangladesh, they will most probably knock them out of the tournament and it would be a huge upset for Bangladesh.
