Oman vs Zimbabwe Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds │13 JUNE, 2023

At the Takashinga Cricket Club, the opening match of the ICC World Cup Qualification will feature a matchup between Oman and Zimbabwe. This will be the first time that these two countries will compete against one another, and a lot is riding on the result of this match.

It is apparent that this team has been very inconsistent, and it is easy to understand why the bookies are stacking the odds against them. Oman are not an especially bad team heading into this battle, but it is clear that this team has been totally inconsistent. On the other hand, this team will compete in their first official game this year, 2023, as their most recent contest took place in June of 2022.

Oman suffered a defeat at the hands of Nepal in their most recent encounter, which ended with a score of 167-163. This will come as an especially disappointing result for Oman given that they were considered the favorites to win in that specific game. In the meantime, the Oman team had already won matches against the United States of America, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea before suffering that defeat. Oman has a record of three wins and three defeats coming into this match, with a total of six matches played.

Oman will be led at the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier by veteran cricketer Zeeshan Maqsood, and Aqib Ilyas has been named as his deputy for the 10-team competition. Samay Shrivastav, a leg-spinner, and Rafiullah, an all-rounder, are the only two players on the squad who have not yet earned a national cap. In addition, the team has three wicketkeepers: Naseem Khushi, Suraj Kumar, and Adeel Shafique.

Favorites in this match, Zimbabwe will be hoping to live up to the hype that has been around them, and their recent performances, despite the fact that they have not been performing at their best, are anticipated to be a lift for them. The Zimbabwe team has thrown in a variety of good, poor, and mediocre results, despite the fact that they have not been a particularly exceptional side.

Before entering this competition, the Zimbabwe team had already won two matches against the Netherlands, with scores of 271-270 and 235-231, though they did suffer defeats at the hands of the Netherlands, the West Indies, and Ireland. In one of their other matches, though, they were able to salvage a draw against the West Indies.

From the 15 players that represented them at the T20 World Cup one year ago, Zimbabwe has only made three substitutions to the group that will represent them at the upcoming ODI World Cup qualifiers in Chakabva, Shumba, and Munyonga. Joylord Gumbie, who bats at the top of the order, is in the running to make his first appearance for his country in an international competition.

Coming into this contest, I expect these two sides to be at their best, as it is sure that they will look to start this warmup match with a win. However, despite their inconsistent performances, Zimbabwe are the favorites, and due to their performances, especially when they take on tough opponents, I am backing them to win here.
