India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is closing in on a significant milestone.

India has had a successful run at T20 following the last Test match they played in March 2024, culminating in World Cup win. They are now back to Test matches in the hope of qualifying to play in the final round of the World Test Championship. Ahead of New Zealand and other games, India is being very conscious of workloads to each player and in selection needs.

Rishabh Pant returns to the Test team after a long absence, and another returnee is KL Rahul. Between Rahul and Sarfaraz, who performed wonderfully against England, the team has a tough decision to make with regard to their bowling lineup concerning the expected conditions in favor of the spinners in the match against Bangladesh. Whether they play their best team or not, India is likely to win against Bangladesh.

Having won a historic 2-0 Test series over Pakistan, Bangladesh is likely to build on this success when they face India. Here are five match-winners who can make a difference for the visitors during the series.

Winning in India has never been a cakewalk for many of the teams in recent times. Bangladesh has also not had much to write home about during this period. But, with the excellent series win against Pakistan and after their good show, they should head into the Tests with more hope than usual. They are sure to lift their morale after two such convincing wins in the Test matches.

In the first Test against Pakistan, Bangladesh won by 10 wickets. Mushfiqur Rahim was elected the man of the match for the contribution of 191 runs. In the second Test, they won by 6 wickets. Litton Das was awarded the title of player of the match for his 138 runs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz performed exceptionally well in the series with contributions of 155 runs and 10 wickets.

Bangladesh's batting unit, which did such a great job throughout the series, especially so in the second Test, in which all six members scored effectively in chasing down a tough fourth-innings total of 185 to win. Things might be different when it hosts India.

Bangladesh have taken the first two players from their list till the series against Zimbabwe. Mehidy Hasan Miraz leads them as the main spinner with 39 wickets in 10 matches. Shakib Al Hasan is another important player of Bangladesh. The spinner Taijul Islam has picked 37 wickets in his last 8 matches. Mushfiqur Rahim has made 657 runs in the last 8 matches, and the captain Najimul Shanto has scored 626 runs in 10 matches. Well, they have performed well to challenge India so far, or the home team will just run through as usual.

India is known to hardly lose matches at home; in the last ten years, India has lost only four Test matches. Further, India has never lost a Test match to Bangladesh. So with bench strength and fully fit players, it appears that the visitors will find India pretty tough to beat. Having come out of a victory over Pakistan in a recent series, Bangladesh must be feeling a degree of how hard it is to beat India at their grounds. Considering all this, the home side, India, can be easily predicted to be the victors of the Test match against Bangladesh.
