Since their defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe in their first T20I post the World Cup, India has failed to get a single win till date. They have entered into a new era where younger guns have replaced the past stars. More players will get opportunities in this series as Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal won't be in the team. Another bright spot for India will be Abhishek Sharma, who may open the innings if his brilliant batting performances against all the big teams in IPL are any indication. Sanju Samson might open alongside him, while Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube would occupy positions 3 and 4. Experience would still count for Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson along with the presence of the captain.

The batting line-up looks to be good with power hitting all through the side. Riyan Parag should give some fireworks towards the end and Rinku Singh has proven himself as a finisher in recent times. With Siraj and Bumrah rested, Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace bowling and join forces with Hardik Pandya and Harshit Rana. India has gone for a heavily spin-based team, with all-rounder Washington Sundar included in the squad and Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakravarthy part of the bowling line-up.

Bangladesh will play their first T20I game following the T20 World Cup and seeks to better the home team. This pitch is perfect for the scoring of matches in T20 games, and Bangladesh comes prepared with a great squad to challenge the Indian team. India does have quality bowlers, but they do not wield the same threat as their previous bowling lineup. For the key batsmen of Bangladesh, it would be Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das, and Mahmudullah. All these will play a crucial role in the match ahead and showcase experience to take on the Indian bowlers. Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy are the other important players in the top order. Although Hridoy had looked promising against Australia, it is highly dependent on Jaker Ali, Mahmudullah, and Mahedi Hasan to push runs during the death overs. In the bowling, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam could target India's key wickets with left-arm medium pace. A spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a thorn in the flesh for India both with the bat and the ball. While there are many bowling options available, Bangladesh's primary goal is to limit India to a chaseable total on that testing pitch.

This is going to be a very tough match where the two teams are evenly matched. Although Bangladesh has been completely dominated in the Tests, Bangladesh's good all-rounder squad will ensure that they give a very tough time to the Indian team in the upcoming T20 matches. Still, India will be favourite to win going into this match. Our match prediction is that with the better batting line-up and home advantage, India will have the edge to win.
