India vs England Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds │24 January, 2024

After a successful game against each other in their first meet in the T20 International series, Team India and Team England are ready to face each other again. This is the second face-off of the five scheduled with the series with Team India winning by 7 wickets. It will be held at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. India will be looking to repeat their deeds from the first game. It will also be aired on TNT Sport 1. Who will win this game of cricket?

The T20 World Champions, Team India, will be looking to increase the tempo in this second match and make some little changes in the lineup for this. They have had an incredible test series against South Africa and Australia. Captain, Suryakumar Yadav has returned to the national team lineup. His last appearance was at the 2023 ODI World Cup final. He is expected to lead the lineup. Team India boasts of a rich T20 International history and is the current/defending World Champion. As of writing this, both sides have faced each other 25 times, with Team India winning the majority, as Team England is closest followed. The return of pacer Mohammed Shami has been instrumental to the performance of this team. The new introduction, Dhruv Jurel, will play an important role in this match.

Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Nitish Reddy, Mohd Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Harisht Rana, Dhruv Jurel, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakrabarty and Washington Sundar.

Team England will be seeking a much more solidifying performance in this next match after a loss just two days ago. They ended their World Series tour in December facing New Zealand, which ended in a loss by 423 runs. Before that match, they faced New Zealand twice and won by 323 runs and 8 wickets, respectively. In the T20I series against West Indies at home, they lost by 5 wickets; in the away fixture, they won by 3 wickets. Just before the start of this five-game series, England was behind in the total number of wins in both team's head-to-head meetings with 11. Most of the wins were from their home, which is very different in this condition. They will be looking to improve the India home win record. A bit of struggle was expected in this last matchup given they were off the pitch for a month, so the rhythm was expected to not be so straight. I believe they have worked on that for this second feature.

Jos Buttler (c), Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Jamie Smith, Liam Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood, Phil Salt, Mark Wood

We all know now that the weather conditions can be instrumental to the way the pitch responds. The venue is known for providing pitches that are in favor of the battlers. Team India still leads in the head-to-head, and such is expected to continue even now. I believe that India will have a win in this match. They have always shown what they are made of.
