Lucknow Super Giants vs Kolkata Knight Riders Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds │7 MAY, 2022

An interesting game with two teams on opposite ends of the table in the Indian Premier League. Will Kolkata be able to gain some ground over their rivals or will it be another stellar performance from the newbies Lucknow?

Lucknow is having a great debut season in the IPL with them winning seven out of the ten games played till now. Sitting in the second spot with only two points behind leaders Gujarat Titans, LSG will be looking to win the game and become the league leaders for the first time this season and inch closer to the playoffs. They won the last game by 6 runs against Delhi Capitals who are in a similar position to KKR. Bowling is a huge issue for the Lucknow as only two bowlers netted a run rate of under 10 per over in the last game.

Quinton de Kock (wk), Lokesh Rahul (c), Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gowtham, Mohsin Khan, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi

Kolkata is fighting for its survival at this late stage in the competition. Having not won a single game in the last 5 games consecutively, they were impressive in hunting down the Royals. They will be looking for more of the same if they want to go to the playoffs. With in-form Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana handling the middle overs they still need stability at the top. Aaron Finch has been getting out cheaply for a while and they would want him to be back in form at this crucial junction of the season.

Sunil Narine, Aaron Finch, Baba Indrajith (wk), Shreyas Iyer (c), Anukul Sudhakar Roy, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Shivam Mavi

The pitch will benefit both the batters and bowlers and it will be interesting to see how the spinners perform in the game. We are expecting Lucknow to continue their impressive form and win the game. Expect it to be a low or mid-scoring game.

  • LSG to win for 1.88;
  • Total Under 325.5 for 1.9;
  • W1 After First 6 Overs (2Way) for 1.8
