Namibia will make their final appearance at the 2024 T20 World Cup this weekend, leaving a lasting impression by participating in the first T20 World Cup super over since 2012.

This thrilling moment occurred in their opening match against Oman, where both teams scored 109 runs. The Eagles triumphed with an 11-run victory in the super over, thanks to a brilliant performance by David Wiese, who scored 13* off four balls.

Namibia delivered another strong performance in their second match against Scotland, setting a target of 156. However, Scotland excelled in their run chase and secured the win with 1.3 overs remaining.

Although their hopes of reaching the Super Eight were ended by Australia midweek, Namibia has one last opportunity to make headlines by potentially defeating the defending champions in their final game.

Gerhard Erasmus (c), Zane Green, Michael Van Lingen, Dylan Leicher, Ruben Trumpelmann, Jack Brassell, Ben Shikongo, Tangeni Lungameni, Niko Davin, JJ Smit, Jan Frylinck, JP Kotze, David Wiese, Bernard Scholtz, Malan Kruger, PD Blignaut

A defeat this weekend would result in England being eliminated from a second consecutive World Cup at the group stage, following their disappointment in the ODI World Cup in India last year.

After a no-result in their opening match against Scotland and a heavy loss to Australia in their second game, England found themselves needing a substantial win against Oman on Thursday.

Fortunately for England, Adil Rashid (4/11), Jofra Archer (3/12), and Mark Wood (3/12) delivered outstanding performances, collectively bowling Oman out for 47 runs in just 13.2 overs.

Jos Buttler quick fired 24 off eight balls winning in just 3.1 overs to have higher net run rate than Scotts. Win against Namobia will help England reach on equal points like Scotland. It will all come down to not run rate after that and England have better run rate due to their recent victory.

Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jonathan Bairstow, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett, Tom Hartley, Will Jacks, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, Mark Wood

England are expected to outperform Namibia in this match, likely securing a comfortable victory before any nerves set in. They will be hoping for clear skies and for Australia to defeat Scotland to boost their chances of advancing.
