Northern Superchargers Women finished the league stage in second place in 2023, just missing out on the top spot. An eliminator, rain-affected against Welsh Fire, went their way to book their place in the final, and things didn't quite go according to plan there, coming up short against Southern Brave. Watch out for left-handed opener Phoebe Litchfield. The 28-year-old has been relatively quiet of late for Australia and Gujarat Titans in the Women's Premier League. However, she was the third-highest run-scorer in last year's Hundred, with 279 runs coming in 10 innings as she hit 68 against Oval Invincibles. Marie Kelly added 176 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 124 and will also have a significant say in the Superchargers batting order. As far as bowling is concerned, one left-arm spinner in whom punt should be taken is Linsey Smith. She is bidding to seal a spot in the T20 World Cup after five years spent in the wilderness. Her case has been boosted by some fine recent performances, including 13 wickets in this summer's Charlotte Edwards Cup and nine in last year's Hundred. Also in the ranks is Georgia Wareham, who topped the wicket charts for the Superchargers last season, gathering 11 scalps with an average of 6.70.

Trent Rockets Women ended up at the fourth position, missing a play-off spot by just four points. The season was full of its highs and lows since the team started off with a defeat against the Brave and finished with a loss to Invincibles.

For the Trent Rockets last year, both Nat Sciver-Brunt and Bryony Smith batted well and garnered more than 200 runs. They will turn out to be the two important batting players for the team once again in this edition. But their batting lineup looks a bit weak, and if these two don't click, they are in trouble.

The bowling unit of the Trent Rockets, though, looks strong. Ashleigh Gardner is an Australian all-rounder who boasts a great record at the international level in the game. She is definitely a big asset for the team, especially when she really makes a big difference. Kirstie Gordon and Alana King are the other two key bowlers who can keep things tight and take essential wickets.

The Northern Superchargers Women have won both their contests against the Trent Rockets Women in The Hundred. They do seem to have the upper hand with a well-balanced team in this upcoming contest. Though Trent Rockets have found a fillip with the arrival of Ashleigh Gardner, ultimately it will be decided by whoever of the two teams' big guns clicks on the day. We believe that while the Rockets are a team with potential, overall strength of Northern Superchargers gives them an upper hand in this match. Our prediction is that the Northern Superchargers Women will win this match.
