Banglore is having a lot of problems currently but few positive signs have started to show up. The reds are on a three-game losing streak but in their latest loss, Virat scored a half-century which will encourage the Bangaloreans. They are however higher than Chennai in the points table and have beaten them already in the season. They will want to want to win for the second time in the IPL for the first time in history and boost their chances of going into the playoffs.

Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Mahipal Lomror, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood

Chennai have given their captaincy to MS Dhoni again after Jadeja stepped down. Dhoni lead the men in yellow to a fabulous victory in the first game of being appointed again. Chennai will be looking to revive their season and can still have a say in the playoffs if they start winning matches. In the last game, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway scored 184 runs for the opening partnership and showed some consistency at the top of the order. They will need more if the same going forward in the competition.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Mitchell Santner/Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius, Simarjeet Singh, Mukesh Choudhary, Maheesh Theekshana

The pitch has historically assisted both batters and bowlers. With the revived team and some new energy, we are expecting CSK to win the game. Both the teams are expected to score below 160 each being this a bowler-friendly pitch.

  • CSK to win for 2.00;
  • Total Under 329.5 for 1.92;
  • Total Runs, Over Number 1 Under 5.5 for 2.00
