The Sri Lankan bowlers have given a fantastic show and left their batsmen to finish the rest. Each one of them could have batted reasonably well to tear asunder the opposition's batting line-up: Asitha Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Maheesh Theekshana. The visitors showed composure at 58 for eight when Rutherford and Motie put together a fighting 119-run stand that worried the hosts. But overall, Sri Lanka dominated the match both with the bat and the ball. Although losing a few wickets early on, Nishan Madushka and Sadeera Samarawickrama stabilized the innings with a 62-run stand. Then, captain Charith Asalanka finished an excellent fifty which set his team into victory. Sri Lanka seems perfect to win the last game and have the series going in their favor.

Nishan Madushka, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis (wk), Kamindu Mendis, Charith Asalanka (c), Sadeera Samarawickrama, Janith Liyanage, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Asitha Fernando.

The West Indies batters came in for another bash in the second ODI while they were facing problems yet again against the spin from the Sri Lankans. Brandon King and Shai Hope tried to play aggressively against Asitha Fernando the pacer but it eventually boomeranged as they lost their wickets, which the home side's spinners capitalized on later in the game. The slow, dry track proved to be an insurmountable challenge for West Indies batsmen against Theekshana and Hasaranga, and a quick knock below 40 overs ended a way. Rutherford and Motie, however, salvaged a partnership for the 9th wicket that rescued some respectability to their team's total by adding 119 runs at 58/8. Motie and Alzarri Joseph, while taking some early wickets with the ball were unsuccessful in stopping the hosts to chase down the target rather comfortably. With the series already sealed, the West Indies may make it a testing opportunity for a couple of players by making possible changes in the team lineup to see if the spin bowling challenge can be approached with a different combination better.

Brandon King, Alick Athanaze, Shai Hope (c) (wk), Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Gudakesh Motie, Hayden Walsh, Jayden Seales, Alzarri Joseph.

Sri Lanka won the second ODI with a full margin against the first match, crossing all obstacles in their way to victory. In this match, they did not let West Indies come back into the game. Now, with no change in conditions and with an opportunity to win with a 3-0 clean sweep, Sri Lanka looks bright for a comfortable win. Result: Sri Lanka are expected to win this game.
