In their previous match, KKR scored 222/6 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru with Sunil Narine having a rare failure at the top of the order, scoring 10 runs off 15 balls. Phil Salt (48 runs off 14 balls) was KKR's lead scorer followed by captain Shreyas Iyer (50 runs off 36 balls), supported by Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh. Among the bowlers, Suyash Sharma was the only one from KKR to not take a wicket against RCB, while Andre Russell impressed with figures of 3/25 in his three overs. Despite being considered one of the best strike-bowlers, Mitchell Starc struggled with an economy rate of 18.33 in this year's tournament, indicating difficulties even for top players.

Phil Salt (wk), Sunil Narine, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Mitchell Starc, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana

An issue for Punjab Kings this season is evident in their opening partnership in the last match, with stand-in captain Sam Curran and Prabhsimran Singh filling in for injured Shikhar Dhawan and out-of-form Jonny Bairstow. Liam Livingstone has also struggled in the tournament so far. It has lead Punjab to rely on the bowling attack to frequently clean up the mess left by the batters. They do have a strong bowling lineup but in our opinion Punjab Kings will face a tough challenge against KKR's batting lineup.

Sam Curran (c), Prabhsimran Singh, Rilee Rossouw, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Liam Livingstone, Shashank Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, Harpreet Brar, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh

KKR has players in good form and others making valuable contributions throughout their team, which is not the case for Punjab Kings. We predict that KKR will win and anticipate another strong performance from them. We support Kolkata Knight Riders to emerge victorious in the match
