India's Bharti Airtel has teamed up with the Philippines' Globe Telecom to offer unlimited VoIP calls to the Philippines for a flat rate.
The opeators have entered a partnership that will allow Airtel subscribers make unlimited calls to Globe Telecom and Touch Mobile customers via a dedicated app, the Economic Timesreported.
The app is available for both Android and iOS, and subscription fees are as low as $14.99 per month or 23.30 pesos ($0.49) per month.
It supports multi-party conferencing, voice message chat, multi-device access and free video app-to-app calls as well as free voice calls.
“This is indeed another milestone in the regional telco landscape as two of the biggest telcos converge to give customers another innovative service that gives customers access to unlimited calling at a price within reach,” Globe senior vice president for international business Nikko Acosta said.
