Singapore startup Crux Labs has deployed its Crux LX integrated telephony product for non-profit organization Diabetes Singapore (DS).

Crux LX is a collaboration solution designed as a simplified, low-cost alternative to unified communication systems.

DS is using Crux LX as a common telephony platform for patients to access its services across Singapore, providing a comprehensive view of its offerings across all DS locations. Staff can enter three digit numbers to call colleagues across locations and mobile vans without incurring call costs.

DS executive director Venkatesh Narasiah said the solution has helped reduce monthly telecom rental and call charges by over 30%.

“I had a very specific need for a telephony system for my organization. The only available solution was Crux LX,” he said.

“It turned out to be the most cost-effective solution as well as easy to install and configure. Its functionality is far outstanding and there is no comparable product in the market. It has significantly enabled us to increase our distribution reach.”

Crux Labs founder Rohit Gupta added that an estimated 47% of on-premise communications systems sold per year still lack collaboration features and are based on analog technology.

“DS is the first voluntary welfare organization (VWO) that we have worked with to deploy Crux LX. We now understand the challenges and considerations of VWOs much better. We are looking forward to working with NCSS to see how we can better serve the community of non-profit organizations.”
