Nokia says it expects to start selling mobile devices using WiMAX in early 2008. Rival Motorola also plans to bring its WiMAX devices in the same timeframe, reports said.

Huawei announces that it plans to sell 2 million CDMA mobile phones in China, as part of efforts to increase its market share to 20%. The Shenzhen-based company sold about 1 million mobile phones across the country last year.

Chinese fixed-line carrier CNC discloses plans to rollout its own IM services in the country. The firm will be the third carrier, after China Mobile and China Unicom, to offer the service to the domestic market.
