HKT has teamed up with Microsoft to offer the cloud-based Office 365 service to Hong Kong small and medium businesses.
The operator has been selected as Microsoft's first telco cloud service provider partner in Hong Kong. As part of the Office 365 subscription the companies will offer the suite of Office 2016 productivity apps.
Under the arrangement, HKT will take total ownership of customer relationships and sales cycles, including the creation of the cloud subscription and after-sales customer services.
HKT will offer SME customers flexible billing options, 24x7 customer support and value-added services, including installation services as well as advanced email and cloud storage services from the operator.
“SMEs are the cornerstone of the Hong Kong economy. HKT has always attached great importance to supporting SMEs by introducing a wide range of solutions which best fit their business needs,” HKT managing director commercial Tom Chan said.
“Since 2012, we have already launched over 30 cloud-based SME solutions for the 4 major industries, namely Trading & Manufacturing, Retail, Food & Beverage and Professional Services. Today, we are delighted to further demonstrate our commitment to SMEs through our close collaboration with Microsoft.”
