Indian mobile operator Aircel has launched LTE services in four telecom circles, becoming the second operator after Bharti Airtel to throw its hat into the 4G ring.

Aircel has debuted its 4G network in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and Odisha, Times of Indiareported.

The operator plans to initially target enterprise and home broadband customers with its services, concentrating on commercial business districts.

Aircel has 20 MHz of LTE spectrum in eight of India's 22 telecom circles, after paying 34.38 billion rupees during the 2010 BWA auction.

The operator is now also the second in India after Bharti Airtel to be offering 2G, 3G and 4G services. Bharti Airtel launched its own 4G network in September last year
