KDDI announced the opening of its first data center in Russia in central Moscow.

TELEHOUSE MOSCOW forms part of the global expansion strategy to accommodate the needs of its growing client base and development into emerging markets, marking the 45th global TELEHOUSE data center.

In partnership with local colocation operator Dataspace, the new TELEHOUSE MOSCOW data center is located within their 6,20-square-metersite in Sharikopodshipnikovskaya.

It is the only Tier III data center certified for its design and facility by the Uptime Institute. TELEHOUSE MOSCOW will be managed by Telehouse International Corp. of Europe Ltd. in London Docklands and KDDI's Russian operations will be managing all internal cabling by multilingual staff.

The carrier-neutral data center employs the latest technology in security access systems including iris and biometric hand scanners making it one of the most reliable and secure data centre facilities in Russia. With focus on hosting multinational corporations, TELEHOUSE MOSCOW offers shared facility management with average 4kW per footprint provision.

This new global expansion is in addition to the acquisition of Databurg in Frankfurt, Germany in January 2012 and announcements of further new builds in China and Hong Kong. Further information on TELEHOUSE MOSCOW can be found on the company's website. Please contact an account manager to discuss any data centre requirements in Moscow.
