NBN Co names Paul Tyler chief customer officer

NBN Co has hired former Telstra executive Paul Tyler as chief customer officer of its business operations.

Tyler replaces John Simon, who announced his retirement last year. He will report to CEO Bill Morrow and will be a member of the executive committee based in Sydney.

"nbn has benefited greatly from John’s leadership and many contributions over a five year tenure. Over the last seven months, John has built a dedicated business segment team that Paul will now lead to take us to the next level,” said Morrow.

“Paul is a high caliber executive with significant experience and a proven track record. I'm delighted to have him as part of our team and look forward to seeing him drive significant momentum in this vital part of our business.”

Prior to joining NBN Co, Tyler was formerly group managing director of Telstra Business. He will begin his new role at NBN Co on February 19.

NBN Co also revealed that its chief corporate affairs officer Karina Keisler will depart the company in mid-August. Keisler joined NBN Co in 2014 from Vodafone Australia.

NBN Co said it had started a search for Keisler’s replacement.
