Navman Wireless' low-power, small form factor Jupiter 32 xLP GPS module is based on the 65-nanometer SiRFstarIII GSC3e(f)/LPx chipset.

The receiver module, first announced in March, provides up to 30 percent greater power efficiency over previous designs, according to Navman.

It integrates SiRFstarIII GSW 3.2.4 firmware code and Navman software features including Write-to-Flash for memory storage and retrieval.

Firmware features incorporate rapid time-to-first-fix in urban environments, high navigation sensitivity and stability, and quick transient condition response and jamming mitigation, according to Navman.

The Jupiter 32 xLP measures 17 x 15 x 2.7 millimeters and weighs 2 grams. It is now available in production quantities, according to Navman.
