M1 rolls out dual SIM service
M1 rolled out its DuoSIM dual SIM service, which is available on the postpaid plan or as a prepaid card. Customers of other local and foreign operators will be able to use the M1 DuoSIM together with their existing SIM card in the same handset.
Artificial Life releases Klitschko mobile game
Artificial Life has released "Klitschko Boxing - The Official Mobile Game" that features renowned boxers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko with animated 3D avatars based on their likenesses and their signature boxing moves. The game is now available globally for purchase and download on Artificial Life's m-commerce portal, http://www.botme.com, and will soon be available on-deck and off-deck via telecom operators and resellers worldwide.
Mobivox unveils voice-activated services
Mobivox unveiled the MOBIVOX|PL voice-activated mobile services platform, which is now available to the service-provider and online-community markets. The network agnostic MOBIVOX|PL recognizes spoken contact names out of uploaded or manually entered contact databases, and then either delivers the call over Mobivox's own network, or hands the call and routing information to the partner network.
Wayfinder rolls out in Singapore
Wayfinder Navigator was rolled out in Singapore as an added service to SingTel's recently launched Blackberry Bold for busy executives and frequent travelers. This advances Wayfinder's cooperation with Bridge Alliance, the consortium of 11 operators in the Asia Pacific region.
Forum Nokia opens contest for innovators
Forum Nokia announced Calling All Innovators, a global contest for developers of mobile applications where winners will get a total of $150,000 in cash and prizes as well as help in distributing their work. The contest is for applications that will enhance the use of mobile devices in real world scenarios -- in the categories of ECO-Challenge, Emerging Markets and Technology Showcase - will all entries due by December 15 and finalists notified in January 2009.
