The merger between Global General Technologies and Smart Wear Technologies is expected to advance RFID and GPS technologies in the area of security and safety.

The two companies recently announced a deal that would make SmartWear a wholly owned subsidiary of Global General.

SmartWear offers solutions in the areas of homeland security and personal safety. Among other products, it offers wearable RFID and GPS solutions used by police, military and medical emergency personnel.

SmartWear solutions will be incorporated with Global General's Silent Soldier surveillance technology, according to Gary Stroud, CEO of Global General Technologies.

The Silent Soldier system provides video surveillance to detect early movement and rapid threat identification in the field via a central management system.

SmartWear posted $2.3 million in revenues for 2007 and forecasted $10 million for this year.
