Global microwave transmission equipment revenues grew 9% in the fourth quarter 2009, according to the new report from Dell'Oro group.
The report also shows that the packet microwave revenues grew 40% during the same period.
While North America is the smallest overall market for microwave equipment, it led packet microwave equipment deployments due to the demands placed by Clearwire’s rapid rollout of 4G Wimax service.
