MySpace and RipCode have launched their video streaming service that enables users of MySpace Mobile to access content from their video-enabled mobile devices.
To meet ever-increasing video demand, MySpace uses RipCode's on-demand video transcoding technology, which allows it to easily support several different handsets even though they require different combinations of codecs, bit rates, and resolutions. This means there is no more need to store the entire MySpace video library in multiple mobile formats, thus saving significant hardware, energy and storage resources.
Users can uploaded videos and access premium content through branded channel like TMZ, National Hockey League, National Geographic, The Onion, College Humor, etc.
