Nokia Networks has revealed it is providing equipment and helping to roll out Indosat Ooredoo's new 4Gplus LTE-Advanced network in Indonesia.
Indosat Ooredoo is rolling out a network aggregating spectrum in the 900-MHz and 1800-MHz spectrum band to provide downlink speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
The network launched earlier this month, and is expected to cover 35 cities in the Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan regions by the end of this year.
Nokia is providing equipment including base stations, carrier aggregation software and a virtualized OSS for the rollout, as well as planning, design and implementation services.

Indosat Ooredoo last month rebranded from Indosat as part of the move by parent Ooredoo to align its regional subsidiaries around a common brand. Ooredoo Asia owns 65% of Indosat Ooredoo.
