Stewart Fox-Mills, head of telephony at the UK Post Office, defined nomophobia as the fear of being without a cellphone. 'The fear is very real for some people,' said Fox-Mills. In a survey by YouGov and reported by AFP, anxiety over cellphones is higher in men - 58% of men panic when they have cell problems versus 48% of women. Nine percent feel stress when they turn off their mobiles.
