NTT Com has announced the global launch of a new enterprise cloud web real-time communications (WebRTC) platform that supports same-day deployment of online communications functions.
The ECL WebRTC Platform allows for rapid deployment of functions including voice and video communications as well as data transmission capabilities on smartphones, tablets and web applications.
It includes four kinds of software development kits compatible with web browsers, iOS, Android and IoT respectively.
NTT Com will supply and operate all server infrastructure required for WebRTC allowing customers to focus on service development and delivery.
The platform will be offered via a subscription plan that will include full technical support and SLAs promising four nines availability. Startup enterprises and developers will meanwhile be able to sign up online for free-of-charge plans offering limited capacity usage.
Potential applications include remote conferencing, IoT communications, robotics, virtual and augmented reality, live streaming, remote assistance and eduction, the company said.
