The government of New Zealand has appointed Dimension Data to deliver telecommunications-as-a-Service (TaaS) as part of efforts to provide better public services.

Under the agreement, Dimension Data will provide networking, security and telecommunications services to government departments.

“The TaaS supplier panel provides a range of cross-government telecommunications and managed security services sourced from a competitive, innovative market. The services are easy for agencies to access and assist them to provide better public services,” the all-government panel said.

Dimension Data pioneered providing consumption-based telecommunications services to government with one.govt, which is used by over 50 agencies.

Jo Healey, Dimension Data New Zealand CEO, said the company is delighted to be able to innovate more with the TaaS solution.

“Dimension Data TaaS incorporates connectivity, security, and the communication and contact center tools required by agencies to collaborate more and provide better services to all New Zealanders,” Healey said.

“Employees will have direct access to the resources and information they need to work from anywhere, in any agency and at any time. Comprehensive privacy settings ensure the security of information is maintained at every step.”
