NEC affiliate CJSC NEC Neva Communications Systems has agreed with VimpelCom to deploy the NEC iPASOLINK platform for the transformation of its backhaul mobile transport network.
The NEC iPASOLINK will provide VimpelCom with an ultra-flexible mobile transport network agile enough to evolve to next-generation IP-based networks, including LTE backhaul.
This will be done while meeting the current capacity and service demands of Beeline, VimpelCom’s mobile company brand.
VimpelCom will deploy the NEC iPASOLINK in the Volga, Central and North-West regions of Russia.
