Singapore-headquartered Spice i2i (formerly known as MediaRing) is showcasing its VoIP service S-unno at CommunicAsia2010.

A cross-platform service, S-unno allows end-users to run an IP soft phone on many popular mobile platforms – iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Symbian are some examples – as well as Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP platforms for PCs and laptops.

The wide number of mobile platforms that the S-unno soft phone works with is a key selling point for the product.

“We’ve got iPhone or Android applications that you can download off the marketplace,” said Goh Soon Liang, CTO of Spice i2i. “We can even turn your iPad into a phone”

Spice i2i projects costs savings of up to 50% when making calls on the S-unno platform, especially on overseas calls.

Calls can be made anywhere using Wi-Fi or mobile networks, and calls between S-unno users are free.

A personalized L3 PSTN number for home, work or travel starts at a base subscription fee of S$4.00 a month.

Besides VoIP, S-unno also offers group conference call capabilities, SMS and instant messaging services. Other mobile content services, like funds transfer, will be added soon, said Goh.
