A sometimes desperately needed service from the Westminster, England City Council allows cellphone users to find the nearest public restroom. The Westminster area of London is an area that includes crowded public areas and popular sights such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben. Public toilets can be very hard to find in the area. According to Reuters, finding a restroom using the service involves texting the word 'toilet' to 80097 and getting a text reply with the location of the nearest public restroom. The cost is 25 pence ($0.52) per text - a small price to pay to avoid an alley stop or possibly worse embarrassment. A 26-year-old student, Gail Knight, came up with the idea as part of an innovation competition run by the City Council.
