Singapore-based NEC Asia Pacific and Sypris Electronics are partnering to develop a Cyber Security Laboratory for the Singapore government.

The task will involve deploying a simulation-based training and modeling platform that will provide a realistic hands-on environment for the participants to hone their skills in countering cyber-attacks.

“With the increasingly complex and sophisticated attacks from cyber criminals, an organization faces a multitude of cyber security risks to its IT systems, ranging from web defacement and malware infections to network and operation system attacks,” said Toshiya Matsuki, Chief Executive Officer, NEC Asia-Pacific.

He added that together with Sypris, NEC Asia-Pacific will bring together the latest technologies to jointly deliver a solution that will address the cyber security needs of the government, as well as to prevent and mitigate against potential attacks.

The Sypris Cyber Range, for one, provides the critical platform required for organizations to simulate today’s increasingly complex cyber threat. It allows customers to seamlessly integrate and continuously upgrade best of breed capability and training curricula from its world-class partners to ensure that employees stay ahead of their cyber adversaries.
