Korea’s SK Telecom and China Mobile have announced further details of the companies' new collaboration initiative.

The two had signed an MOU last week agreeing to jointly develop content for mobile games and co-operate on wired and wireless communications technologies.

Both SK Telecom and China Mobile Jiangsu have agreed to exchange mobile gaming content and upgrade their mobile payment platforms to enable in-game purchases.

A release by SK Telecom said China’s mobile phone market is anticipating a rise in the number of Android phone users and will benefit from the Android content on SK Telecom’s in-house app store, dubbed T-store.

The Korean operator also plans to provide gaming content to China Mobile through Viatech, its Chinese subsidiary.

The collaboration on the communications technologies front will see SK Telecom providing sensing networks and universal gateways to China Mobile Jiangsu; the roadmap includes having services offered on these networks at a later time.

News that the companies had decided to deepen their co-operation first broke early last week.

SK Telecom in February revealed it would launch a localized version of its T-Store app store to Taiwan by June.
