The Snaptu team, which caters to mobile users that don’t have access to smartphones, said they have recently agreed to be acquired by Facebook.
Earlier this year, Snaptu launched the Facebook for Feature Phones application, which currently works on more than 2,500 devices.
They said joining Facebook offered the best opportunity to keep accelerating the pace of their product development, and making an even bigger impact on the world.
With the acquisition expected to close within a few weeks, Snaptu said it will continue to operate as it were.
