India's Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) has launched a line of mobile data plans tailored to users of OTT voice services and heavy data users.

The company, which offers services under the MTS India brand, announced it is offering “anti zero rate” packages that will allow data allocations to be used on any OTT voice service.

MTS prepaid customers will be able to purchase a 5GB data allocation for 499 rupees ($7.65), which will translate to 5,000 minutes of internet calls.

Postpaid customers can meanwhile subscribe to monthly plans starting at 599 rupees for 10GB of data, up to 1,999 rupees for 30GB of data.

In a statement, MTS India chief marketing and brand officer Sandeep Yadav commented that the launch reaffirms the operator's commitment to net neutrality.

“MTS India does not support any discrimination or preferential treatment when it comes to internet services. It is our belief that the freedom to access and use internet services the way a customer want should rest with the customer,” he said.

To promote the new plans MTS has commissioned a telecom commercial and an outdoor advertising campaign, focusing on its nine operating circles.
