India-based Tata Communications announced plans to expand its global data center footprint in Australia, Malaysia, Germany and Austria.

Tata Communications has formed partnerships with NEXTDC in Australia, Pacific Link Telecom (PLT) in Malaysia and Interxion in Germany and Austria.

These new data centers will add to Tata Communications' existing one million sq ft of co-location space globally. The company said the data centers are "fully integrated into [its] global IP network" to provide "maximum traffic capacity" into and out of its facilities.

According to Tata Communications, the new data center partnerships will enable the company to "deliver a uniform customer experience across geographies." This means customers will benefit from "a single vendor operation and contract" for Tata's data center network service.

In addition, users will be able to access the data in hosting applications in interconnected data center from anywhere, any time on any device.
