Akamai strengthens Apac services and sales team

Cloud platform provider Akamai Technologies has announced two senior appointments to its Asia-Pacific team.

The company has appointed Alex Caro as CTO and VP of services for Asia Pacific and Japan. He is responsible for technical strategy and for all professional services teams across the region.

Caro joined Akamai in 1999, and most recently served as corporate CIO, responsible for the development and operation of the infrastructure that supports Akamai's corporate processes.

Malcolm Rowe has been named regional VP of sales for South Asia. Previously Rowe was director of business development at Akamai for Asia Pacific and Japan. He joined the company in 2002 and has over 25 years of IT industry experience.

Kinson Loo to lead HTC HK and Macau

HTC has appointed Kinson Loo as GM, to oversee the Taiwanese handset marker’s operations and business development in Hong Kong and Macau.

Loo comes to HTC with over 20 years of extensive experience in the telecoms industry. He has previously held key management positions at various telecom and handset vendors, including Ericsson, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and INQ Mobile.

HP appoints enterprise services SVP for Apac and Japan

Bruce Dahlgren has been named SVP and GM of enterprise services for HP Asia Pacific and Japan. He will be responsible for providing applications, business processing and outsourcing services.

Dahlgren was most recently SVP of managed services for HP Printing and Personal Systems with overall global business responsibility.

Effective immediately, Dahlgren will be based in Singapore and will report to Mike Nefkens, acting global enterprise services leader.
