Tata Communications hires Rangu Salgame to lead growth ventures
Tata Communications has appointed Salgame as new CEO for growth ventures.
He will join Tata Communications’ global management council and will lead the company’s global high growth businesses with an initial portfolio that includes data centre, cloud, cyber security, media and entertainment.
Prior to join Tata Communications, Salgame had earlier worked with Cisco Systems, Verizon Communications and PwC.
ICANN appoints chair and chair-elect for 2013 NomCom
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has appointed Yrjö Länsipuro as chair and Cheryl Langdon-Orr as chair-elect for the 2013 nominating committee (NomCom). Adam Peake has also been selected as associate chair to the 2013 NomCom.
Länsipuro will be responsible for organizing the NomCom in its activities to select ICANN board members and individuals, who will serve in other key leadership positions within ICANN's supporting organizations and advisory committees in accordance with ICANN's Bylaws.
Langdon-Orr will serve alongside Länsipuro, with anticipated succession into the role of the chair for the subsequent year's NomCom.
Länsipuro served as a member of the 2011 and 2012 NomCom, and Adam Peake was chair of the 2011 NomCom, and associate chair of the 2006 and 2007 NomComs.
