Telstra Global has significantly expanded its presence in India, launching end-to-end network services and two international gateways in the market.

With the Indian telecom ministry approving Telstra's international gateways in Mumbai and Chennai, the company will now offer a wider range of services.

Telstra Global will now provide International Private Line (IPL), Ethernet Private Line (EPL) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) services in the market.

The new network services will be supported by PoPs in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and virtual PoPs in Pune and Kolkata. Mumbai and Chennai will act as dual international gateways.

Telstra Global said the new network will also allow it to offer Indian enterprises broader access to Telstra's managed telecom services portfolio.

Telstra Global secured ILD, NLD and ISP licenses in India in October 2011, and launched IPVPN services in the market in March 2012.
