TM forum and BT have jointly launched the Cloud Service Broker Catalyst project, which aims to create a trusted and governed cloud management platform.
The collaboration will also involve Comptel, Infonova, OpenNMS Group and Square Hoop.
It will investigate the role of cloud service brokers in addressing enterprise cloud customer concerns such as application performance, security and vendor lock-in.
The project will be demonstrated at next month's Management World 2010.
BT said its part of the project was conducted by its Innovate and Design unit. BT Global Services will serve as both an enterprise consumer and a retailer in the program.
