Wimax Forum said it will release a database of operators worldwide that have successfully deployed Wimax.
This "Interactive Deployment Database" is meant as a comprehensive resource of information featuring more than 300 Wimax deployments, the industry group said.
Along with it, the group also released its first series of operator case studies that show business models of existing Wimax networks.
These include deployments by KT (Korea), DBD Deutsche Breitband Dienste (Germany), Iberbanda (Spain), Wimax Telecom (Austria, Slovakia and Croatia), Liberty Technologies (Panama), DigitalBridge Communications (U.S.A.) and Max Telecom (Bulgaria).
The database, publicly available at www.Wimaxmaps.org and is linked to on the Wimax Forum homepage, will be updated quarterly, the group said.
