“The body snatcher”, Dillian Whyte, gets into the ring against undefeated Jermaine Franklin just months after losing his bid to win the WBC heavyweight title from Tyson Fury. Dillian Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted that the winner of this November 26 bout will be the frontrunner to take on Anthony Joshua sometime next year. The American, Franklin has crossed the Atlantic to put his undefeated record on the line against a quality Heavyweight like Whyte. Dillian Whyte “The Body Snatcher” is boxing royalty, albeit a lesser Lord. The former British and Commonwealth champion, he also has the record of defeating former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua in an amateur fight. The former WBC interim champion is a boxer, Kickboxer, and mixed martial artist. The Jamaican-born Brixton fighter, who once knocked an opponent into a coma, is itching to get back in the win column after the setback this past April against Tyson Fury. The Fury fight for the WBC Heavyweight title was interesting as both fighters kept changing stances between Orthodox and Southpaw. After a decent opening by Whyte, the champion took control and in the sixth round knocked down Whyte with a right uppercut for the TKO.
I can’t wait to get into the ring and show the world that when push comes to shove, I can get right back up in Wembley and remind everyone why I was WBC number one for over four years. As an undefeated Heavyweight, Franklin is a dangerous guy but I’m going to teach him quite a few lessons on November 26.
