Oleksandr Usyk, the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles, said that he was rooting for his future opponent, WBC world champion Tyson Fury in the fight with Francis Ngannou.

Recall, on October 28, Fury defeated Ngannou by a split decision of judges.

In an interview with YouTube channel Boxing King Media Usyk said:

I was a little bit nervous that our possible fight is in jeopardy. I even started to shout out to him small things like use your jab, jab him faster, that’s it. It looks weird probably but from the other point of view, Let’s say myself, my team, my country, the whole world wants to see this fight happening and that’s why it is important that we do anything to make it happen.

Fury previously entered the ring in December 2022, defeating Derek Chisora by technical knockout in the tenth round. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no losses. The last fight was Ngannou's debut in the boxing ring.
