Daily Mail reports that Chelsea women's team striker Sam Kerr has found herself at the center of a racist scandal after insulting a police officer. The athlete is facing legal action.

Sources note that Kerr got into a conflict with a taxi driver over the payment. When the police arrived at the scene, the footballer started an argument with an officer as well.

During the altercation, she referred to the police officer as "stupid white PC." Kerr has been sued, facing accusations of racism.

The striker has been playing for the London club since 2019, helping the team win nine trophies. In the current season, she has scored nine goals and made four assists in 12 matches across all competitions. The 30-year-old footballer represents Australia in international matches.

Earlier, it was reported that former Paris Saint-Germain and Nice coach Christophe Galtier could face a year in prison for racist remarks, but his guilt was cleared.

It was also recently reported that Real Madrid winger Vinicius Júnior was subjected to racist insults during the 11th round La Liga match against Barcelona.
